At RC Empire Medical Center, we are deeply committed to advancing health and wellbeing throughout Namibia and beyond. Guided by the World Health Organization’s definition, a health system is made up of all organizations, institutions, resources, and people whose primary purpose is to improve health, we have aligned our vision with the nation’s evolving health agenda. Since independence, Namibia’s health sector has progressed through key milestones, including the 1990 policy statement, the 1998 health policy framework, and the National Health Policy Framework 2010-2020. Our nation has made significant strides in health sector funding, nearly reaching the Abuja Declaration’s 15% target, with contributions spanning the Ministry of Health and Social Services, Defence, and Correctional Services.

Nevertheless, challenges remain. Namibia’s healthcare system is still largely focused on curative care, with healthcare workers concentrated in urban centers, fragmented data systems, and ongoing procurement hurdles.

In response, RC Empire Medical Center is proud to collaborate with the Ministry of Health and Social Services to reinforce Primary Health Care, the bedrock of our nation’s health system. We are dedicated to our mission: strengthening communities and nations through equitable, data-driven healthcare services.

To realize this mission, we have established strategic centers in the Omusati region; Ruacana, Outapi, and Tsandi, and our ambitions extend far beyond. Since opening our first branch in July 2020, we have experienced steady growth, propelled by our vision of becoming a global hub for inclusive, evidence-based healthcare. Our strategy is anchored on five pillars: client-centric care, quality and innovation, partnerships and collaboration, sustainability, and growth.

We continuously assess the needs of our communities, striving to develop and implement strategic healthcare interventions that remove barriers to care and enhance service quality. Our dedicated team is the heart of our organization. Their expertise, compassion, and commitment ensure that patient care at RC Empire Medical Center is exceptional.

To advance our commitment to evidence-based healthcare, we organize health seminars for healthcare providers in the Omusati region. These seminars are coordinated by the Training and Research section under the Managing Director’s office and are designed to address persistent gaps in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities. Moving forward, we aim to partner with training institutions on research initiatives.

We are unwavering in our adherence to legal and regulatory obligations, ensuring the protection of patients’ rights and the uninterrupted delivery of medical services.
